How many degrees of freedom (DoF) is offered by the arpara Tethered 5K?
The arpara Tethered 5K offers 3-DoF and allows you to move your head up, down, side-to-side, and forward and backward. You can use the VR headset in combination with an arpara Tracker and relevant accessories to upgrade your experience into 6DoF tracking.

The sensor latency is 1 ms, while the display latency is 2μs.
Does the arpara Tethered 5K support adjustments for nearsighted people ?
Yes. The diopter is adjustable between -5D and 1D.
If I wear glasses that are -5.00D or higher, can arpara provide custom lens?
Currently, we do not provide custom glasses services. We recommend you wear contact lenses for a better VR experience.
Does the arpara Tethered 5K support IPD adjustment?
Yes. The IPD is adjustable between 56 mm and 72 mm.
Is the arpara Tethered 5K brightness adjustable?
Yes. You can adjust brightness by pressing and holding the 3D button, volume up, or volume down on the lower right of the headset.
What are the built-in sensors in the arpara Tethered 5K?
The VR headset has a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a magnetometer.
Does the arpara Tethered 5K have a CPU or GPU?
No.
Is the arpara Tethered 5K loaded with any system or game?
No. The VR headset is not loaded with any system or game platform. The VR headset can be connected to a phone, a laptop computer, or a desk computer for watching videos or playing games.
Does the arpara Tethered 5K need any external power supply?
No. The VR headset has no internal power supply. Instead, it uses power supplied by the device (phone/tablet/computer/host) connected to it.
Does the arpara Tethered 5K has any microphone?
Yes, it has 2 microphones.
How to wear the arpara Tethered 5K?
With the arpara head band and the arpara Elite Strap, the headset is comfortable to wear.
Can the panel of the arpara Tethered 5K be wiped with alcohol?
To better protect the displays, gently wipe it the glasses with a cleaning cloth. Avoid using chemicals, such as alcohol.

No, the arpara Gaming Kit, our other product, supports PCVR.

Does the arpara Tethered 5K support 3D Bluray?
Yes, you can play 3D Bluray videos by converting the Bluray videos to a side-by-side format using third-party software, such as PotPlayer.
